30 Min Microdermabrasion $85

90 Min Microdermabrasion with facial $150

Is a non invasive, painless procedure used for skin rejuvenation. Microdermabrasion is an exfoliation process that safely, effectively and gently removes the dead cells and debris from the outer layer of skin called the stratum corneum causing the skin the rejuvenate, build more collagen and reveal radiant and glowing skin. When the stratum corneum is exfoliated, the body rushes to replace the lost skin cells with new and healthy ones. This process imporoves the skin's surface leaving an improved and soft texture. There are two ways to perform microdermabrasion and both methods are offered here at Allure laser and Esthetics.

This method uses corundum crystals (aluminum oxide), Corundum is a natural mineral of the same family as the ruby and sapphire, second only to the diamond in hardness. The crystals are medical grade and have been thoroughly tested by an independent laboratory for safety and sterility. They have been processed under extremely sanitary conditions and purified with special acids. Their only property is to be abrasive.

As the wand is passed over the skin, a steady high velocity stream of these ultra fine crystals remove dead skin cells, while the vacuum portion of the unit takes in this debris, dirt, dead cells and the used crystals. The depth of the treatment can be controlled by the speed and amount of passes as well as the intensity of the stream/vacuum.

Diamond tip:

This method doesn't use crystals but a diamond tip that gently sands the skin when passed over the skin. The vacuum sucks up dirt, debris, and dead cells. Depth of treatment can be controlled by manual pressure and suction intensity from the vacuum as well as various size tips for coarseness and different skin types.

As with both methods, there is little to no downtime. You can return to your daily activities immediately afterward. The skin will be slightly pink, which is very normal, and will subside in a few hours. A feeling of tightness, slight swelling, sensitivity (similar to a slight sunburn feeling) and dryness can be felt for up to 72 hours, however appropriate moisturizing and soothing serums will be applied after treatment to ease this sensation. Skin will be more sensitive to the sun, therefore avoiding sun and tanning beds for one week and applying sunscreen daily is advised

Results of microdermabrasion are accumulative, and depending on the the goal, anywhere from 5 - 10 treatments give optimal results. Cellular turnover occurs approximately every 30 days which is why we suggest spacing treatments 2-4 weeks apart, 1-2 weeks apart for thicker, more tolerant skins. A customized treatment schedule will be discussed upon analysis of your skin.
